Senior Laravel Developer in Lahore, Pakistan

I am Aamir Ali, a senior Laravel developer in Lahore, Pakistan. For eight years I have designed PHP platforms that US companies run in production: multi-tenant SaaS, listing systems, and REST APIs with real auth, queues, and operational edges. If you need someone who can own a Laravel codebase from schema to deploy, rather than only clearing a ticket queue, this is the work I take.

What I build

Most Laravel engagements I accept fall into four shapes. The first is a multi-tenant product where each customer needs isolated data, roles, and billing, and the schema has to stay predictable as the tenant count grows. The second is an integration platform: MLS feeds, payment webhooks, signature APIs, or a back office that must stay aligned with a system of record. The third is a rescue of a Laravel app that grew by accretion, where I extract boundaries, add tests around money and permissions, and make deploys repeatable. The fourth is a greenfield API that a React or Next.js team will consume, with token auth, versioning, and contracts a frontend engineer can follow without a standing meeting.

I spend time on the parts that keep a PHP product boring in the best way. Migrations that can be run more than once. Policies named in the language of the product, not the language of the framework tutorial. Queues for anything that talks to a third party. PHPUnit around the paths that move money, change access, or write to a shared table. I would rather ship a smaller surface that operators trust than a wide feature list that fails on the second tenant.

Relevant projects

The public record is in the case studies, not in anonymous logos. REConnect is a real estate MLS data platform used by 15,000+ agents. I lead the Laravel architecture: listing sync, OAuth, and a support chatbot that handles about 90% of tickets. Brown Harris Stevens is a New York luxury brokerage where I was a core developer on agent and client tools, built as services rather than one tangled admin. TheCareMD is a US telemedicine product with 80,000+ patients; I built Laravel services for patient engagement and provider coordination.

Stack

Day to day the stack is PHP 8 and Laravel, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and Redis for cache and queues. APIs are REST, with tokens and explicit versioning when more than one client exists. I deploy with Docker, often on AWS, and I use GitHub Actions or Jenkins when the team already has a pipeline. Kubernetes is in the toolkit when the platform is already running that way. I do not put a small Laravel app on a cluster just to say the word. On the UI side I pair Laravel with React or Next.js when the same product needs both, and I keep the boundary at HTTP so either side can change without a shared mystery layer.

  • Laravel, PHP 8, PHPUnit, queues, policies, and migrations
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks
  • Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes when the platform already uses it
  • React or Next.js as the client when the product needs one

Process

A Laravel engagement starts with a short written brief: who the users are, what must not break, and what done means for the first release. I reply within one business day. Then I read the repository or the spec and send back a plan that names risks, not a slide deck. We agree a first slice, usually the data model and one critical workflow, and I ship that before the scope widens.

Each week you get a staging URL and a short note of what changed, what is blocked, and what I need from you. I work remotely from Lahore, Pakistan (UTC+5). I overlap US East Coast mornings, which is afternoon and evening here, so a question you send at the start of your day can be in progress before your lunch.

Pricing and engagement

I take fixed-scope builds when the outcome is clear, and monthly retainers when the product needs a senior Laravel engineer after launch. I do not print a day rate on this page. The number depends on whether you need architecture, a feature lead, or a focused API. The first conversation is a brief, not a proposal template. Email aamirallidev@gmail.com or use the contact section on the homepage, and include the deadline plus the constraint that matters most. The work is remote. I am based in Lahore and I am not relocating for a contract.

FAQ

Do you only write Laravel, or can you lead a small PHP team?

Both. I still write the Laravel code, including schema, policies, and tests. I also lead senior engineers, which is what I do now at SL Tech on real estate platforms.

Can you join a codebase that is already in production?

Yes. Most Laravel work I take is an existing product. I start by reading how tenancy, auth, and deploys actually work, then I change the path that is blocking the next release.

Which databases do you use with Laravel?

MySQL and PostgreSQL in production, with Redis for cache and queues. I pick the database the product already runs unless there is a concrete reason to move.

What hours overlap with the US East Coast?

I am in Lahore, Pakistan (UTC+5). I work through US East Coast mornings, which land in the afternoon and evening in Pakistan, so we can talk live at the start of your day.

How do I start a Laravel project with you?

Email aamirallidev@gmail.com or send a note from the homepage contact section. Include the product, the deadline, and whether you want a fixed scope or a retainer. I typically reply within one business day.
